Woody Henderson An Activist for Change

The Organization for Reunification & Rehabilitation of Children & Families (ORRCF) is rooted in providing Information & Assistance for Children & Families in New York communities by informing and educating the public and legislators of the negative effects and the need for change in the current operating procedures of the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and the family court and how they deal with people of color in particular and poor people in general. ORRCF also provides information to help guide at-risk parents to resources and services necessary to prevent the institutionalizing of their children and assists in promoting reunification of low-risk families after ACS and the Family Court has become involved.

Over the past few years, ORRCF Director Woody Henderson has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) representative, Chairman of the National Action Network's,(NAN's) Committee on Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and founder of ORRCF. At these organizations his responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting and advising parents and children that are caught up in the bureaucracy of ACS and the Family Courts.
