What we hope to achieve with this program

By networking with churches, schools and communities centers, in communities where those most at risk are, this program will provide more convenient and less intimidating arenas to explain to at-risk parents and families how and what they need to do to keep from ending up in the system. The documentary films and videos will give actual examples of cases from the mouths of parents and children who have been through the system. It will also focus on the effect it had in either helping or hurting their families depending on weather they were:

1. Parents or families who needed assistance due to drug or domestic issues.

2. Parents or families who were misguided or misinformed about parenting.

3. Parents or families who were victims of false allegations or failures of the system to operate fairly.

Another anticipated result of this project will be to bring home the facts of bureaucracy to people who are steadfast set in their belief that nobody can or will take their children from them. We would also set up lectures and provide video documentary tapes to college's, social services departments and legal departments. The purpose of this is to give insight to and put a human face on situations and the mentalities of the type of people they will be working with. This will also assists what is primarily being taught in classrooms via textbooks and by in many cases instructors and professors who have not come in contact with real world situations or those on the front line who have been affected by the pain of institutionalization. more >>
